Who We Are:
Parkview Community Center provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where community members can belong, grow, and thrive. Through a variety of weekly programs, special events, and seasonal opportunities, Parkview is committed to supporting the whole person—spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Youth Programming:
Each week, youth are invited into a space where they are known, valued, and encouraged. Programs offer a consistent place for kids and teens to enjoy dinner, build positive relationships with caring adult mentors, and participate in meaningful worship and faith-based learning. These experiences are designed to help youth develop strong values, healthy boundaries, and a sense of purpose, while fostering confidence and leadership skills.
Parkview’s full-sized gym provides ample opportunity for recreation, teamwork, and physical activity, allowing youth to release energy in a healthy way and learn important life skills such as cooperation, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Recreational programming is intentionally paired with opportunities for personal growth, creative expression, and social connection.
Parkview also offers a monthly Music School in collaboration with other Salvation Army sites, giving youth the chance to explore music education, develop new talents, and experience the arts as a tool for self-expression and confidence building. These opportunities help broaden horizons and expose youth to skills and interests they may not otherwise have access to.
Throughout the year, Parkview hosts pop-up events, community gatherings, and seasonal engagement opportunities that bring families together and strengthen community connections. During the summer months, expanded programming and special activities ensure youth remain engaged, supported, and connected during critical out-of-school time.
At its core, Youth Programming at Parkview Community Center is about more than activities—it is about creating a trusted space where young people are fed, encouraged, challenged, and empowered to grow into who God created them to be."
