Basic Archery Trainer Certification

This is a Basic Archery Instructor Trainer Certification course, which means upon completion, you will be able to teach other instructors how to safely run an archery range at any Salvation Army facility. This course is based on NASP but is specific to Salvation Army programming which means there's content on archery at camp as well as how to run a community archery club at a corps. This certification is only recognized internally at TSA facilities (not at public schools, parks, etc.) and intended to build on the outreach ministry of our programming through inviting others in. The cost of this training will include materials, lunch and dinner. If lodging the night prior is required, an additional $30 will be added. With only 6 hours to do the full skills assessment, please come prepared by reviewing the materials listed below. Let's unify our standard of safety in archery programs across the continent!

Registration Information

Ideally, if you're interested in this course, you would have already received an instructor level training but we recognize how difficult that can be to arrange. So for this event only, we are able to offer this to anyone interested in bringing archery to their community but it will only work if you do some homework ahead of time. Videos will need to be watched and materials reviewed so when we come together we will be only focusing on the in person skills assessment and final test.

Fees

$50 covers materials, lunch & dinner

$80 includes the above & lodging for Sunday night.

Capacity

With a tight timeline, only 24 spots will be available to start. If we fill quickly, we may be able to offer a second session but will address that if we get there.

Accommodations

While we will take preferences into consideration, thank you for understanding that lodging options are limited. If you know of individuals you would be most comfortable with sharing space with, please indicate who so we can do our best to accommodate.
